The first beginnings of Frogmore Creek trace back to 1996. Situated in the pristine island of Tasmania, this family owned winery attract attention with its elegant wines that reflect the the cool climate of Tasmania. This Tasmania’s most awarded winery is known after its 2002 Frogmore Creek Reserve Pinot Noir awarded on the 2004 Tasmania Wine Show. Since, Frogmore Creek has participated in various wine shows around the world, with its outstanding cool climate wines. What made Frogmore Creek winery so popular, was exactly the unique approach they had from the start – ”to let the fruit do the talking’. Frogmore Creek does not support the malolactic fragmentation, but leave the grape to enhance the basic fruit flavors and retain the high acidity. Both these factors turned out to be the winning moves of this popular Tasmania’s winery.

Frogmore Creek continuously receives awards for their work. Few of the most significant ones are the 7 gold medals for the Best Riesling at the Canberra International Riesling Challenge Show in 2013 and a trophy for the best Tasmanian Sauvignon Blanc at the UK International Wine Challenge Show. * 42 Degrees South Cuvee Sparkling received bronze on the 2010 Tasmania Wine Show. Beside the bronze medal, 42 Degrees South received a silver medal as well on the International Wine Challenge Awards in 2013 in London.

* 42 Degrees South Riesling won bronze medal on the Hyatt International Riesling Challenge in 2006, and another one the following year on the Royal Hobart International Wine Show as well.
