About Us

Ethnicraft is a well-known Belgium furniture company which was established in the region of Antwerp in the early 80s. The whole story began when two friends fell in love with the ethnic Asian teak furniture and eastern decorations while on a road trip around the world. They decided to take few pieces for themselves, but ended up selling the items soon before they even had a chance to enjoy them. So the two friends decided to combine unique design and their love for furniture. Ethnicraft was born and the success was inevitable.

At first it was a small retail shop that imported and sold their own unique teak furniture, but soon became a supplier to other retailers. Their dreams were big. They had nothing to lose. That’s why they decided to design and manufacture their own Ethnicraft furniture. And to their surprise, Ethnicraft furniture made a boom in Europe. The two young entrepreneurs launched their first collection in 1996 and opened their own production unit in Tegal,Indonesia.

Today, the founders of Ethicraft is one of the finest designers and manufacturers of contemporary teak and solid oak furniture. Ethnicraft is all about simplicity and functionality. The company employs over 2000 people in their own furniture production and over 1200 in their retail stores. They even own copy rights on the term ‘Emotional’ as it perfectly describes their own Ethnicraft furniture ’emotional’ and ‘rational’.

Furniture – Ethnicraft has been producing solid wooden furniture for the past 17 years. You will find a wide range of chairs, sideboards, chairs, sofas, entertainment units, dining tables, beds and much more. All their items are functional and strong. Made only with the finest solid wood to give warmth and naturalness to the Ethnicraft furniture. Ethnicraft works with international designers like Axel Enthoven and Nathan Yong to create unique pieces full of character.

Bathroom – Ethnicraft bathroom collections are only distributed by specialized Bathroom dealers only. You will find amazing wash basins, mirror cabinets, and bathroom cadences, that will perfectly match with any decor and style.

* Ethnicraft produces authentic and natural furniture in their own production units in Indonesia, Vietnam and Serbia. But their simple collections can be found in many furniture shops all over the world.

* The wood Ethnicraft uses for making furniture,comes from two main sources – from neglected buildings or from warehouses without cultural significance from the island of Central Java, Indonesia.

* In order to increase the capacity and the quality of the products, Ethnicraft opened its own production unit in Tegal, Indonesia in 2000.
