Britney Spears, a world famous pop singer was born on December 2, 1981 in Kentwood, Louisiana, USA. Best known for her singles Baby “…One More Time”, “Oops!…I Did It Again”, “I’m a Slave 4 U”, “Womanizer” and many more, Britney is not just a top-selling artist, but also an actress and has a successful line of fragrances. Britney’s amazing and, sometimes, controversial career started in 1992 when she was only 11, when she landed a role on ‘The All New Mickey Mouse Club’ TV show. After the show was canceled, Britney focused on her music career. She sent her demo tapes to many music records companies and finally in June of 1997 signed on with Jive Records. In December 1998, Britney released her first single “…Baby One More Time” which became No.1 single on all pop charts. With over 22 million copies sold worldwide of her first album, Britney became an over-night sensation and a new pop-star. With the release of her new hit single “Oops! I Did It Again” in 2000, Britney started attracting a lot of media attention both because of her vocal talent and her personal life as well. In 2001 she released her first ‘grownup’ album, “I’m a Slave 4 U” and got plenty of jaw-dropping at 2001 MTV Video Music Awards, when she performed the same single with a seven-foot albino python. Britney continued to surprise her fans with new singles as well as many controversial headlines such as marrying her childhood friend, Jason Alexander in Las Vegas (marriage lasted only 50 hrs); shaving off her hair; driving with her son in her lap and etc. But Britney managed to get her life and career in order with the release of her album “Circus” in 2008 which has brought her back to the top. “Femme Fatale” followed in 2011 with hits “I Wanna Go” and “Till The World Ends” which rose to the very top, proving her worthy of being one of the best selling artists alongside Madonna and Mariah Carey. In 2012 she joined judges of the popular show The X Factor.

Britney, when not recording or entertaining her fans on her tours, works closely with fragrance team of Elizabeth Arden and creates her signature perfumes. Her first fragrance, Curious, was launched in 2004 and acquired $100 million in sales in the first few weeks only. It broke company’s record of the fastest selling perfume. With its success, Britney soon released her new fragrance, Fantasy, which also enjoyed enormous fans’ acclaim. Aside from the fact that her fragrances make up 34% of all Elizabeth Arden Company fragrance sales, Britney is a number one celebrity perfume endorser ever.

Fragrances – Since the launch of her first fragrance for women, Curious, the pop singer has enjoyed both critics’ and customers’ acclaim in this department as well. It was the best selling fragrance of 2004 and has won a ‘Best Woman’s Fragrance’ award in 2005.
