About Us

One of Australia’s leading wineries was founded in the late 1985 by the exceptional wine writer and judge James Halliday. Together with his wife, James developed and adopted outstanding wine-making techniques and philosophies in the production process of ielegant wines. Coldstream Hillsbecame ideal place for James Halliday to start making wines like Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, thanks to the cool and dry growing seasons. Due to the perfect climate, Coldstream Hills started producing grapes with good sugar levels and expectational flavors. In 2009, the Coldstream Hills Pinot Noir was regarded as one of the best wines ever produced from this winery, winning five trophies and nine gold medals. Coldstream Hills Chardonnay was not far behind, receiving six gold medals and three trophies as well. Coldstream Hills won two trophies at the Victorian and Hobart wine show for its Reserve Shardonnay and Pinot Noir in 2010. all the award and high customer ratings are just few of the reasons Coldstream Hills is one the most popular wineries in Australia.

Coldstream Hills Chardonnay 2012 – What makes this Coldstream Hills wine so special is the fact that it is fermented and matured in French oak barrels for nine months before being blended and put into bottles. It features extraordinary citrus notes and white peach characters. Due to its mixture, the Coldstream Hills Chardonnay has a complex array of characters unique only for this wine.
