Estee Lauder (Josephine Ester Mentzer) was born in 1906 in Queens, New York and is best known for revolutionizing beauty products and helping women look and stay beautiful. Estee got interested in skincare when she started working in her uncles company, New Way Laboratories, which produced and sold creams, lotions, lipsticks and other beauty products to beauty shops. She learned the process of making beauty products and tried to sell as many women as possible. However, her success started in 1935 when, together with her husband, founded own company after her hairstylist was impressed by her perfect skin and asked her to sell her beauty products in his hew salon. But Estee did not stop there. In 1948, she persuaded Saks Fifth Avenue boss to give her a counter space and developed a specific sales approach which made the company into what it is today. Soon, the company became international and started selling products in London department store, Harrods in 1960. The following year this brand opened an office in Hong Kong and soon became a synonym for beauty. It’s beauty products began and continue to be one of most-sought after beauty items among celebrities, public figures and women across the world.
