About
Founded in 1947 by Chung Ju-yung, Hyundai, the South Korean automaker has certainly made its mark on a worldwide scale as a major car manufacturer among all other businesses it conducts. But besides its successful diversified portfolio of business projects, the Hyundai Group was re-organized after the 1997 Asian economic crisis. Since majority of business divisions continue to operate as separate companies. However, this large makeover was not left to chance as most of the companies under the Hyundai logo today are run by close family members of Chung Ju-yung. The Hyundai Motor Company in particular, was founded in 1967 in Seoul, South Korea. 38.8% of ownership belongs to Kia Motors company, which took this company to the 5th spot on world’s largest automakers list. The scale of Hyundai’s manufacturing strength is reflected through its largest integrated manufacturing facility located in Ulsa, South Korea. Here, Hyundai operatives and factory workers produce about 1.6 million units of Hyundai cars a year. And although Asian cars are not preferred by auto critics and public media, Hyundai seems to be proving wrong by offering great car models every year and seamless Hyundai service. In fact, it is Hyundai Car service that has made the positive difference in sales in some European countries.

SUVs – The SUV category of Hyundai is decent with only four models available. The Grand Santa Fe and basic Santa Fe are currently categorized as new models, while the other two older models are the famous Tucson / ix35 and Veracruz / ix55
