Liebherr is a well-known German manufacturer of heavy-duty equipment, including cranes, mining equipment and aircraft parts. This family-owned company is known all around the world for its powerful, durable and reliable machines, capable to handle the toughest jobs. The Liebherr cranes and other products are available on the markets in every country all around the world. Founded by Hans Liebherr, the successful story of Liebherr began with the release of the first crane in 1949. This tower crane was introduced on the market during the WWII with the idea to be affordable for every construction company in Germany. Hans wanted his invention to be compact, easy for set up and for transportation. The production process of the Liebherr cranes started with the first model -TK10, but unfortunately, in the beginning there were no orders. But quickly, this model became one of the most popular machines on the market. Unlike all other cranes on the market that needed a whole day for a single operation, the TK10 needed only 3 hours to be assembled and to complete any task on the job site. In the first year of its production, 160 Liebherr cranes were sold in Germany and world wide.

The initial success of this tower crane was followed by many new Liebherr cranes models. The first truck-mounted Liebherr crane was developed in 1965, and a year later, the Soviet Union ordered 50 mobile Liebherr cranes AUK40T60. With a lifting capacity of 250 tons, these Liebherr cranes were extremely powerful lifting machines at that time. Liebherr today has more than 38,000 employees in more than 130 factories all around the world.
