About

Lois Roederer is a mega popular brand more known for its luxury champagne Cristal. The company’s history starts in 1776 when founder Louis Roederer inherited the company from his uncle and started targeting markets abroad to create the brand that is today. High capital investments were mostly concentrated in Russia. The efforts of this investment din’t go unrewarded as Tsar Nicholas II nominated Louis Roederer as the only wine supplier for the Imperial Court of Russia during the 20th century. Although the company suffered some financial losses during US Prohibition and the Russian Revolution it managed somehow to stay on ground and continue the success after the release of Cristal in 1945. The company holds a vineyard of amazing 214 hectares that allows production to run on an ongoing basis. An interesting fact is that only two thirds of the grapes are used to back up the normal production in the company.
