Mont Adventure Equipment

About

Having had enough of the subpar adventure clothes and gear on the market for years, adventure equipment innovator Monty decided to make something better that he could rely on. With the help of a borrowed sewing machine, this process resulted into a sleeping bag, down jacket, and tent simply for himself in 1978.

His designs won the admiration of friends, who did not waste a minute and ordered pieces for themselves right away. As word of the company’s high-calibre equipment soon spread, Mont Adventure Equipment was established in 1981.

Although Mont has long outgrown Monty’s modest Canberra, Australia, facility, he continues to serve as the company’s CEO and collaborates closely with a dedicated team on the creation and testing of all Mont goods. Being avid travellers, the Mont team and their founder hold onto the founding value of never skimping on quality to make a few pennies.

Even now, Mont Adventure Equipment is still a privately held company with headquarters in Canberra. It is fiercely independent and is devoted to producing and supplying better equipment for the outdoors.

Whether you’re setting up a tent in the woods or parking your RV at a rural location, camping is an immersive experience. If you’re serious about improving your safety and wild sleeping experience, you need to gear up. From a warm, cosy backpacking sleeping bag to liners, have a look at the following list of product reviews from the aforementioned company.

Brindabella Xt 850 -10 to -16°C Down Sleeping Bag

The Brindabella 850 backpacking sleeping bag is a high-performance equipment piece for chilly to cold expeditions above and below the snowline. It comes in Standard, Women’s, and XL sizes. (Here I must mention that they also have the unbelievable Expedition 8000 Xt -30 to -40°C Down Sleeping Bags for extreme cold weather.)

Highlights of the feature include a broad foot area enabling the room to roam, and a tapered rectangular shape. Baffle loft height and warmth are maximized by the Radial Arc Baffle System on horizontal baffles. Differential cutting between the inner and outer surfaces lessens compression and cold areas. The backpacking sleeping bag has optimal down distribution maintained via vertical baffles on the torso.

Dragonfly Tent Forest Green

A sturdy all-season shelter for two or even three campers, the Dragonfly is a strongly structured shelter for your outdoor adventures. The Dragonfly is capable of trekking mountain peaks in winter and is engineered with exceptional ventilation control for use in spring, summer, and fall all-weather camping.

The new Dragonfly Tent, which was inspired by the Mont Dragonfly Tent from the early 2000s, is a tribute to Mont’s long history of cutting-edge tent design and manufacturing. The 2021 Dragonfly has received the following upgrades:

  • New 20 denier inner Nylon from previously used 15 denier.
  • Improved and larger interior doors make entry simpler.
  • Fully-width internal end pockets are more substantial and robust.
  • With a broader ridge pole and a minor increase in interior height, more room can be made usable.
  • Improved drip-line over inner doors.

The weight of the new Dragonfly Tent is a little bit heavier than the previous model, but in light of the previously mentioned improvements—four additional pegs, a sturdier inside, more inner room, etc.—it is hardly noticeable

Exped Megamat Duo 10 M Red

The closest you can get to sleeping on your bed at home is with the comfort provided by the Exped MegaMat Duo 10 M double sleeping mat. This mat, which is double broad for two people, occupies an entire wide 2-person tent. Its 10 cm thickness extends all the way to the edge along vertical sidewalls, providing a completely flat sleeping surface.

Amazing support is provided by high-grade foam insulation and a stretch tricot top surface. This one is the best rafting mat or vehicle camping! Smart pack sack: a roll-top bag with a carry strap that can be adjusted in height and is also suitable for use as a shoulder bag. And on top of everything, it includes a Mini Pump to help with inflation.

Exped Air Pillow UL

Despite having several innovative features, this pillow made for outdoor camping barely takes up any space. The anatomical form holds the head in place, and height can be adjusted for side or back sleepers. It’s also got robust valves, and grommets on the side for attaching your mat. Ergonomically designed, and ultra-lightweight, it’s an incredibly comfy air pillow with a soft, with honeycomb-embossed 20D polyester fabric.

100% Silk Inner Sheets

Make the most of your sleeping bag’s lifespan, comfort, and warmth by using a Mont Silk Inner Sheet. It’s created to decrease the amount of body oils that go into the down clusters. Over time, body oils interfere with the function of the down clusters and decrease the warmth of your sleeping bag.

Mont Silk Inner Sheets are incredibly thin, incredibly soft, and quick to dry. They may be readily machine-washed after your journey, making them perfect for both travel and bushwalking.

Lifesystems Micro Double Mosquito Net

When you’re exhausted from a long journey and lying under the stars, what could be more bothersome than insects interrupting your peace? By ensuring that the net hangs away from the body, the spreader bar improves protection and maintains proper airflow. When folding the net under a mattress, the nylon skirt guards the mesh. You have hanging hooks, string, and a stuff pouch included in the set.
