Taylor-Dunn is an American company which manufactures commercial and industrial vehicles. The company was founded by Davis Taylor and Fred Dunn. The incredible technical background and the independent spirit, encouraged Mr. Davis Taylor to start a business and later to become a world-known manufacturer and supplier of commercial and industrial vehicles. He started the business by creating his first small electric powered vehicle, intended for personal use for poultry transport. Soon after, he received many inquiries from other ranchers who were amazed by the functionality provided by his little cart. He created few more for his close friends and neighbors. Inspired by the new opportunity, in 1949 he constructed a metal facility in his home which was the first manufacturing facility where vehicles were created. This was the beginning of a successful business named “Taylor Shop”. Mr. Fred Dunn joined the company in 1951 and few years later the company was renamed to Taylor-Dunn Manufacturing Company. Together they started manufacturing commercial and industrial vehicles which are well known today and are used in many industries. From the first day, their goal was to create tough, durable and multifunctional vehicles that were going to be used for moving and carrying personnel, materials and different kinds of equipment. For more than 60 years, their wide range of commercial and industrial vehicles ranging from burden carriers, stock chasers, personnel carriers, electric carts, tow trucks and many more, have been a number one choice for many customers and for many industries. Their vehicles find applications everywhere in the United States and around the world. Their mission today is to identify, design, produce and distribute commercial and industrial vehicles that meet and satisfy customers’ expectations and needs.

Interesting Facts
* Taylor-Dunn in 1959 produced the first three wheeled small neighborhood cart. This model was named “R” Trident and was equipped with headlights, taillights, and turn signals. The production stopped in 1963. some of these vehicles today can be seen in museums.
