Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavani was born on May 11th, 1932 in Italy. Maestro Valentino Garavani is one of the most prominent representatives of the fashion industry. His name, along with the names of Christian Dior and Coco Chanel will forever be a synonym for glamour and luxury, and that little humble logo “V” will be a dream for every fashionistas around the world. Since an early age he was fascinated with fashion and everything associated with sewing clothes. He barely knew how to draw, when he began putting his visions of fashion trends on piece of paper. His parents were very understanding and helped Valention realize his dream by paying for his education in a very prestigious School of Fine Arts in Paris. After graduating from school, for several years Valentino worked in various ateliers and tailoring showrooms including the famous Guy Laroche. He then returned to Italy and with the help of his parents opened his own studio in the center of Rome in 1959. Of course, with the resounding success followed the opening of own fashion house “Valentino”, and Valention soon started dressing up famous women of the twentieth century among which, Jacqueline Kennedy, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren and Grace Kelly were his most devoted fans. Valentino brand, with a speed of light, become very popular. His European glory became a worldwide popularity, when his dresses started shaping Hollywood with beauties like Julia Roberts, Sharon Stone, Courtney Love and Brooke Shields wearing his creations. In 1967, he created the famous “White collection” for Jacqueline Kennedy, which included coats, fine hats, and styles of classic business suits, all in white. In the same year he developed corporate logo – a beautiful monogram letter “V”. Nowadays, the brand Valentino is one of the most famous, elegant and desirable brands worldwide

Valentino perfume – The first perfume “Valentino was launched in 1979 and re-launched in 1986. It was designed by the famous Givaudan house. The new Valentino fragrance for women “Valentina Acqua Floreale”, is a new version of “Valentina” from 2011. The new perfume came out in January 2013. All Valentino fragrances were made in collaboration with perfumers like Ermenidis, Alberto Morillas, Francoise Caron, Givaudan, Antoine Lie, Cecile Matton, Edouard Flechier, Daniela (Roche) Andrier, Olivier Cresp and others.

Interesting fact & Events
* Troughot his entire designing career, Giancarlo Giammetti, who deals with the business of the company, has been Valentiono’s right hand. In 1990, together they established an association for fighting against AIDS “LIFE”. The same year the Academy Valentino was opened.
* Giancarlo Giammetti and Valentino met in 1960 and have been together romantically and in business more than 50 years.
* In July 2007, Valentino celebrated 45 years of Valentino and in the fallv of 2007 he decided to put an end to his artistic career.
