Wacker Neuson is a German multinational company specialized in developing, manufacturing and selling lightweight and compact construction equipment, tools and construction related services. Wacker Neuson’s rich history began over 160 years ago. The company was founded in 1848 by Johann Christian Wacker. It started as a blacksmith shop named Wacker in Dresden, Germany. In 1930, the company engineers developed new technology for internal vibrators. The first electric powered rammer was also developed at the same time. Up until the World War II, the company had expanded its products and services on the domestic and international markets. After the World War II, the company steeped up its international presence and moved its headquarters in Munich. In 2002, the company changed its structure and become public a company – Wacker Construction Equipment AG. In 2007, Wacker Construction Equipment AG merged with the Austrian Neuson Kramer Baumaschinen AG and changed its name into Wacker Neuson SE. Today, Wacker Neuson is a leading manufacturer of various construction machines and equipment.
