Are you tired of the same lifeless exhaust sound from the tips? Or the lacklustre performance each time you floor the pedal? Consider upgrading your ride with various performance exhaust parts. While local builders come by the dozens, very few have the expertise, experience and customisation options offered by one of the household names in the business -XFORCE.
The company grew out of the determination of racing enthusiasts to get more out of their cars. And with a passion for performance, limitless commitment to customers, and a product range that melds quality, style and value, XFORCE has cemented its place as one of Australia’s leading aftermarket parts producers. Founded in Sydney’s west in 2001, the company has tailored aftermarket exhaust solutions for local vehicle favourites, to racing, performance and luxury models the world over.

Varex Mufflers
Varex is a patented XFORCE technology that combines the compact design of stock mufflers with the performance credentials of racing units into a single muffler. The work put in by local R&D teams has created a sophisticated butterfly valving tech to change sound profiles as needed. The Varex muffler redirects exhaust flow through the opening path, producing higher volumes, a full-bodied sound and maximum engine performance. Adversely, if the sound is too loud for your liking and eating into cabin comfort, the muffler redirects flow into the chambered path as with stock mufflers. What singles XFORCE and its Varex muffler is that sound levels and profiles can be adjusted at multiple points, by angling the valve.
Mufflers are offered in cannon, round and oval styles, in single or dual tips in diameters of your choice, and with inlets ranging from 2.5 to 4 inches to suit a variety of stock pipes. All are made of high-strength 304 stainless steel and are supplied with bolt flanges for easy fitment.
Varex SmartBox
The first iterations of the Varex Muffler were controlled via a supplied key fob. While intuitive, precision wasn’t its forte, so the guys and gals at XFORCE came up with the Varex SmartBox and smartphone app to change the butterfly valve position with simple adjustments from your phone. This is the company’s patent-pending tech, with three available modes for higher precision and better control.
Manual Mode – with 5 preset positions (Closed, 25%, 50%, 75% and Open), drivers can easily set the exhaust valve position by toggling through simple on-screen arrow buttons.
Matrix Mode – for vehicles with OBDII ports, adjustments go one step further. Matrix mode allows users to automatically set exhaust volume and sound within defined engine RPM, road speed and throttle position settings. For instance, drivers can change the sound within a set RPM range, say between 3000 and 6500 RPM, either at 75% (or Open for minimal restrictions and higher volumes) and at 25% for engine speeds below that range. The same can be done for a set road speed or throttle position. The mode also allows you to quickly memorise preset values for street, normal and track uses, and tune the exhaust volume and sound just the way you like.
Geo-Mode – with the included GPS antenna, the exhaust valves can automatically open or close within set geo locations defined on your phone maps. This too is adjustable, with memory settings allowing for hands-free convenience while getting the exhaust sound you want regardless of where you drive.
Vehicle-specific Exhaust Systems and Exhaust Separates
One thing XFORCE does better than others is ‘complete’ aftermarket exhaust systems ready to squeeze the last drops of performance from any engine. The company has fitted classic Aussie muscle cars like the Falcon (FG X and BA) and Commodore (VF SS, HSV GTS and GTS-R) with their bespoke range of axle-back, cat-back and full header systems. Buyers get to choose between 304 stainless steel for increased strength and corrosion resistance, or 409 steel for good durability, especially with higher temperatures, balanced with high value and lower purchase costs. Each exhaust is configured to engine specifics, like cylinder count in V6 and V8 dual configurations.
XFORCE also supplies performance exhaust systems for tuning favourites, such as the VW Golf GTi, BMW’s M-Series cars, Audi’s RS and S lines, the Mitsubishi EVO and Subaru WRX/STI. Moreover, you’ll see XFORCE Exhaust Australia systems for Japanese, Korean and American makes. And if you drive a ute or imported truck, the team have got your back.
Where the company goes above the competition is exhaust separates and universal parts. Buyers can get anything, from oxygen and temperature bungs in the long list of exhaust system accessories to high-flow cats, reworked tips in materials, shapes and diameters of choice, or collector pipes and connecting flanges to suit stock setups.
